9) Quince Honey Farm

Quince Honey Farm is a family-run working honey farm in South Molton, Devon. Established in 1949, it offers a variety of attractions and activities suitable for all ages. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits and learn about the journey of honey from the hive to the jar. Guided tours are available, and guests can sample various honeys produced on-site. For children, there is an indoor soft play area, and everyone can enjoy a stroll through beautifully landscaped gardens and meadows.

The Nectary Restaurant serves freshly prepared meals, including breakfast and lunch, while providing lovely views of the gardens. The farm shop offers shoppers a range of seasonal honeys, beeswax candles, skincare products, and gifts. This fantastic day out is open daily from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

10) Woolley Animals

Woolley Animals Alpaca Walking and Farm Park is a friendly, family-run attraction located in the scenic countryside of Winkleigh, just a 30-minute drive from Smytham Holiday Park. Established in 2019, the farm offers visitors a unique opportunity to interact with a diverse range of friendly animals while enjoying the tranquil rural surroundings. Visitors can embark on a 90-minute guided walk with gentle alpacas through the farm’s picturesque landscape, which includes lakes and woodlands. In addition to alpacas, the farm is home to goats, sheep, miniature ponies, donkeys, and the adorable Swiss Valais Blacknose sheep, which often look like teddy bears.

Visitors can enjoy feeding the animals, taking tractor rides (£2.50 per person), and participating in seasonal events such as lamb bottle-feeding. A daily goat walk is available at 3 PM, which can be booked on the same day. The farm features a cosy café offering a selection of cakes, coffee, ice cream, and light snacks, all at reasonable prices. There is also a gift shop where guests can purchase souvenirs, including items featuring alpaca themes.
