Jill started her sales career in the caravan business and has worked on several holiday parks across the country. It was during her time spent building relationships on large corporate sites like Haven and Butlins, that Jill gained an insight into the holiday industry and realised how much fun she could have whilst working in this environment.
Jill met Richard, at Westcountry Resorts, purely by chance whilst she was living in Somerset and within a few months, had moved to Dorset to begin her new life as part of the Westcountry Resorts family.
Jill has enjoyed the learning curve at Westcountry Resorts and takes great pleasure in spending quality time with her customers, as she offers to help and guide them in the right direction. Jill loves the feeling when people make that decision to become an owner and never tires of seeing her customers get excited about their new home by the sea.
Jill, mum of three, delights in spending every available minute with her family, especially her eight adorable grandchildren. Having previously kept two wonderful pure bred Arabian horses, these days Jill dreams of driving a Bugatti Veyron and now has a beautiful cat named Ollie!
Teresa has lived in the North Devon area for the past 10 years with her husband and four children. She has a cat called Alfie and seven chickens who are very generous with eggs!
Before Teresa had her children, she loved climbing and enjoyed Snowdonia, Betws-y-coed as well as indoor climbing walls. Now with her family, she enjoys cycling the Tarka Trail and spends a lot of time watching the children surf at Croyd and Saunton Sands. Teresa loves horse racing and enjoys The Cheltenham Festival as one of her treats. Every year, the Arden Family meet up at Sundown Park where they enjoy the hospitality in one of the restaurants overlooking the finishing line.
They moved to Devon from having lived for 2 years on the East Coast of Australia where she worked as an Administrative Officer for the Queensland Police department.
Teresa has consistently followed the computing and administration route throughout her working life in a couple of different industries. However, in early in 2014 she joined a static caravan dealership, and learned about the holiday home industry first hand, attending the many shows around the Southwest.
At the beginning of 2018, whilst looking for a new challenge closer to home, a new opportunity came up, just around the corner, which meant having that all important family time back right on her doorstep! We are thrilled to have Teresa join the Westcountry Resorts family and look forward to see how the business will grow at Smytham Holiday Park. Teresa has a super new sales office, purpose built show ground and can’t wait to show you around the park!
Helena has recently joined the team at Westcountry Resorts and is based at St Audries Bay Holiday Park in sunny Somerset. She works along side the team and assists in the sales office as point of contact for the caravan owners, assisting with the sales of the new and used holiday homes and organising after sales.
Helena has grown up in Somerset on Exmoor and has predominantly lived there all her life, with a few years living in London working in the fashion industry as an Assistant Buyer. She moved back to Somerset when her first son was born in 2010 and remained for the birth of her second son in 2012 and is now very settled.
Helena’s family life is very important to her and she currently works around the children. She also manages her family run self catering holiday business which keeps her busy.
Helena is very entrepreneurial and also enjoys painting and creating artwork to sell and designs wedding stationery.
Helena enjoys keeping fit by cycling, running and pilates with the odd triathlon here and there. She loves chasing after her kids on bikes, at football, camping, surfing and other sporting activities.

Richard’s experience within the holiday industry started in the late 1980’s, after he traded in his young career as a Ford trained motor mechanic.
At the weekends, Richard supplemented his income working behind the bar at a large holiday park, and after several years, having decided that he really liked the holiday industry, he left the motor trade behind him. Richard worked his way up through the ranks to become part of the complex management team. Having accomplishing this, Richard moved into Caravan Sales where he learnt another arm to the business.
In 2009, Westcountry Resorts was born. Richard’s passion was, and still is, in the holiday home industry and Westcountry Resorts, was the perfect platform for Richard to combine his dedication to the holiday home sales and marketing industry with his years of knowledge in park management, to help privately owned holiday park companies, continue to grow.
6 years on, Richard is still working with the original holiday park owners and thoroughly enjoys the day to day activities.
Richard’s ethos to always keep our promises and treat our customers and the people we work with, with honesty and respect, is a testament of his continued commitment to his work
In his spare time, Richard competes in off road motorcycle trials, is a keen snowboarder and is always up for a challenge! Family life is incredibly important to Richard, he loves spending as much time as possible with his Daughters and Wife…’it’s important to keep a healthy life balance between work and family”
Emma’s interest and love of the leisure industry, saw her graduating from university directly into an exciting graduate recruitment programme with Bourne Leisure. It was there that Emma chose the Caravan Sales path and went on to work at several parks, for both Bourne Leisure and Haulfyn, in the South West.
It was when she relocated to Exeter, after 14 years in the business, that Emma started a new career as an Account Manager in the radio industry, where she worked for a further 10 years, looking after local businesses’ advertising campaigns.
Having had a career break to bring her beautiful daughter, Isobella, into the world, Emma has returned to the leisure industry once again, taking on a new and challenging role in digital marketing, where she manages the interactive content on the website and social media channels for Westcountry Resorts. When Emma, is not working she enjoys getting out and about across the West Country with her family and friends and is a keen snowboarder and cyclist.
Originally from North Lincolnshire, Andy moved to Exeter in 1999 to study Graphic Communication and Photography at the University of Plymouth. It was during this time he met his wife, Julia and they decided to settle here in the West Country and raise their family. Andy has two young daughters, Elise and Madeleine who both together keep him very busy at the weekends! Andy’s main motivations are family holidays in Europe and has a keen passion for playing the guitar… apparently he has too many in his collection to play them all these days! Andy has worked with Westcountry Resorts from the very beginning and is responsible for producing all the sales literature you see in our sales offices and around the parks. The new Westcountry Resorts website was overseen by Andy in which he helped to plan, design and write. Andy also runs his own design agency called Creation Graphics which serves a wide range of clients from many industry sectors including Renewable Energy, Local Authorities, Medical, and Manufacturing as well as other companies in the Holiday and Leisure industry.
Just a short sincere note to say a big thank you for making our lovely holiday home come true. It’s been a complete pleasure working with you because you are not only efficient and extremely professional, but also one of the nicest, most friendliest people we have ever met.
We are sure that Freshwater Beach was the perfect choice for us and we will have many years of wonderful times

In the words of the dear departed Max Bygraves, “I want to tell you a story”
Marion and I came down to Freshwater for a few days R&R. We had a few jobs to do as F14 has come to the end of its life at Freshwater and is destined for pastures new.
We always like to call in to see Jill for a catch up and both Marion and I had absolutely no intention of buying a new caravan but after a little while of talking to Jill we found ourselves ‘just looking’ at a possible replacement for F14, still with no intention of really doing so but as I am sure you know, low and behold last night we bought a brand spanking new Willerby Sierra!
This is all down to Jill and her amazing skill as a sales lady.
We are, as a nation are very quick to complain but both Marion and I are of the same mind that when we receive good service we like to make those who need to know, know about it.
Marion and I were both in sales for longer that we care to remember so we know the patter and the selling techniques but in the end we believe people buy from people. That is not to take away the quality of the product being sold but Jill is one of those people.
Jill employed all the techniques we know and love as sales people, to get us to buy a new caravan and we very nearly didn’t. It is down to Jill, who spent several hours of her day off convincing us to change our minds in a very subtle way and it was Jill who recovered the sale when, as far as we were concerned it was ‘dead in the water’.
As a result we can look forward to 15 more years of happy holidays at Freshwater in our brand new Sierra and I can truthfully say we had a brilliant 4 hour journey home last night planning for those 15 years, thanks to Jill.
We believe Jill went over and above the call of duty, not for us but for you and the the business you successfully operate, so we believe that despite all the banter yesterday we really do think, and we know you think the same really, Jill deserves ‘looking after’ !!!
