Fistral Beach – Approx. 6 miles (15 mins) One of the UK’s most famous surfing beaches, Fistral boasts powerful waves, golden sands, and a buzzing beach culture. You will find numerous surf schools, beach cafes, bars and regular surf competitions. This beach is excellent for surfing, sunbathing, and people-watching.

Porth Beach – Approx. 5.5 miles (12 mins) Porth Beach is a quieter, family-friendly beach nestled in a sheltered bay. Facilities include a small cafe, a pub nearby and seasonal lifeguards. This beach is excellent for children, where they can paddle and relax away from crowds.

Watergate Bay – Approx. 5 miles (10–12 mins) is a vast sandy beach with epic views and excellent facilities. It’s home to high-end eateries like Zacry’s and The Beach Hut. Facilities include surf schools, cafes, toilets and beach parking. Water sports can be enjoyed here as well as long walks, dining and dog-friendly adventures.

Crantock Beach – Approx. 7.5 miles (20 mins) A stunning National Trust beach backed by sand dunes and the Gannel Estuary. This beach is a haven for nature lovers, walkers and paddleboarders. It is unspoiled and peaceful.

Holywell Bay – Approx. 8.5 miles (20 mins) Famous for its dramatic twin rock stacks and appearances in shows like Poldark. It is popular with families, photographers and dog walkers.

Towan Beach – Approx. 6 miles (15 mins) Located in the heart of Newquay, with the iconic house-on-the-island linked by a footbridge. With central access from Newquay, Towan offers classic seaside fun and is near to shops, cafes and the Blue Reef Aquarium.
