The Shaldon Wildlife Trust, often referred to as Shaldon Zoo, is a small but highly respected conservation zoo located in the coastal village of Shaldon. Covering just about 1 acre, it specializes in rare and endangered species, particularly small primates. Known as “the little zoo making a big difference,” the zoo is recognized for its strong conservation efforts. It is home to over 50 species, including lemurs, tamarins, marmosets and capuchins along withbinturongs and armadillos and many other species. Shaldon Botanical Gardens

Shaldon Botanical Gardens, also known as Homeyards Botanical Gardens, is a charming hillside garden that overlooks the estuary at Shaldon, directly across from Teignmouth. The gardens offer stunning coastal views; from the upper paths, visitors can enjoy panoramic vistas of the River Teign, Teignmouth, and the Jurassic Coast. The garden features a small castle folly, often referred to as Shaldon Castle, along with an Italian-style garden and terraces, as well as a pond and rill water garden. Babbacombe Model Village
